The seventh installment of Myradian Assault was held on the 24th March 2007 at the Super Intellect cyber café in Pandan Indah.
The event was jointly organized by Team Cubetech and Super Intellect, with generous sponsorships from Pendrive, makers of the
Nano Flash Drives. The event started at 1:15pm and ended at approximately 8:30pm.
Combat Zone: Pandan Indah had a whopping 11 DOA teams turn up for this event, which made this one of the largest player turnouts,
to fight for a total of RM600 cash prizes plus other limited DOA merchandise at stake! The lead up to the finals were dominated
by the 2 RED teams, with RED-1 and RED-2 steam rolling and blitzing their way into the finals, waylaying valiant efforts from
SI-2 and GODLIKE-1.
Combat Zone: Pandan Indah saw the closest Myradian Assault finals to date, with both finalist trading points from the very start!
More than one utterance of “Sengit!” was heard as both teams went 1-1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4, and then 5-5 to end the first half on a
cliffhanger. The second half was no different as the match went 6-6, 7-7, 8-8 and then 9-9! Tension was thick in the air, begging
to be sliced with a knife when finally RED-2 allowed their opponents to pull away with the 10th point. Match and Tournament point
at stake, RED-1 turned it on for one final thrust and finally, the quiet and tense atmosphere was ruptured with stunned, awed
applause as RED-1 won at 11-9!
There were also mini games during the event, where lucky draws and Bingo games were organized, much to the delight of the crowd,
who went home with additional Team Cubetech giveaways, such as free game points, limited Cubetech game merchandise and also 3
Pendrive Nano Flash Drives! During the prize giving, Mr Kew Wei Seong from Super Intellect cyber café and Mr Tonny Tong and
Miss Joanne Tan from Cubetech gave away the prizes to the winners.
Team Cubetech would like to thank all who contributed to the event and especially the players for making this a successful event.
