1. How come my updating isn’t going anywhere?
The DOA update files can be rather large. If your line is unstable or your line suddenly gets disconnected, the updating process can be interrupted. If this happens, you will notice that the download progress bar has stopped. If the download progress bar does not move after a long period time, please terminate the program using “Ctrl + Alt + Del” and shutting down the DOA program. Run the DOA program again and allow the program to download the update again.

If the problem persists, you may want to check the following:

1. Hard Drive Space. If you do not have enough hard drive space then there won’t be any place for the update file
    to be downloaded into. Try freeing up to 1GB if possible and attempt to download the update file again.

2. If there is a continuous file error occurs, please check your HDD whether it has bad sector or not.

2. Please remove CPU Over clocking.

2. How can I check the DirectX version and update my DirectX?
You can check the DirectX version installed on your PC by doing the following:

1. Click start button and click the "RUN" icon.
2. Type in “dxdiag"
3. A large window will appear. Your DirectX version should appear near the bottom of this window.

If the directX version is under 8.1 or your computer does not have one, please update the directX.

To update the DirectX:

1. Visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/
2. Click on the Get DirectX Download
3. Save the file in a convenient place.
4. Execute the downloaded file. DirectX will be installed for you.

If you have a DirectX version that is higher than 8.1 then is not necessary to update your DirectX to play the game.

3. How can I improve my ranking?
Ranking is calculated according to the number of wins, loses, kill count and death count. In general, the more wins and kills you get and the less deaths you suffer, the higher your rank.
4. How do I find out what graphic card I have installed in my PC?
The simplest way to check your graphic card is to have DirectX 9.0a installed. You can find the latest DirectX at (http://www.microsoft.com/directx).

a. Click start button and click the "RUN" icon. Type in “dxdiag".
b. Go to the Display tab. Here you will find detailed information regarding your graphic card.
5. How do I buy ammo?
You can also buy ammo using "<"">" button.
With "<" button you can buy main weapons ammo.
With ">" button you can buy sub weapons ammo.
6. How could we buy weapons?
Team Death Match & other games.
Each round, you have 10 seconds to buy your weapons and other items before the round starts. The "BUYING TIME" message will be shown on the screen and you can bring up the weapons and item menu by using "B" button on your keyboard. You can also buy ammo using "<" for your primary weapon and ">" button for your secondary weapon.

Death Match.
In death match games. You can only buy weapons in special buying zones. You can see the "BUYING ZONE" mark in the map. Move next or onto to the "BUYING ZONE" and you can buy weapons and items. The keys used to buy your items are similar to the above.
7. How do I update my graphic and sound drivers?
Updating your graphic or sound card drivers is very easy with Windows 2000 and XP. Just make use of your windows update. If your operating system is Windows 98 or Me, please follow these steps:

1. Check you Hardware
In order to update graphic or sound card drivers, you need to know your graphic or sound card models. Please install the latest DirectX (at least version 9.0a). You can get DirectX at (http://www.microsoft.com/directx). After installing DirectX, please do the following:

a. Click start button and click on the "RUN" icon. Type in “dxdiag".
b. Go to the Display tab you can find the VGA card Name, Producer, chipset and the driver versions.
d. On the sound tab you can found out the sound card name, driver version.

2. Driver search and installation

a. I have a branded PC.
->Visit your computer manufacturer's web site and search according to you computer model. (usually, the url will be in your manual or placed on your case somewhere). Find the proper drivers. Usually it'll be on the customer support or download sections. Update and install any new drivers.

b. My PC is custom built and unbranded.
->Go to the device driver’s manufacturer’s webpage. The urls are usually on the manual or box of the devices. Alternatively, you can search for the website on the internet. The drivers will usually be on the customer or download sections. Please update and install any new device drivers.

For you convenience, we have included a reference to NVIDIA:

NVIDIA chipset.
Visit www.Nvidia.com --> "DOWNLOAD DRIVERS" --> OS check. --> "Primary download site" --> "accept" --> Execute the driver installation and rebooting. ATI chipset. Visit www.ATI.com --> "Technical Support" --> "Find a driver" --> Input OS and Graphic card name and "GO" --> Download driver --> Uninstall the existing driver and install new driver.
8. How many characters do we have choose from?
DOA has a total of 10 characters to choose. 5 for the MGF and 5 for the AGA.
9. How many maps does DOA have?
Right now you can enjoy 9 death match maps, 6 Team death match maps. Maps will be added periodically.
10. What is CP?
CP is the in-game currency for DOA. You use it to buy weapons or items.
11. I have no more CPs. How do I earn more CPs?
Here are some tips on how to earn more CPs:

1. Play in a training map. You can get a total of 50,000 CP a day playing in training maps.
2. Your account will be topped up with 15,000 CP every week.
3. Kill the enemy and/or win the round.
12. How do I check my ranking?
You can check your ranking in the info tab at the game lobby or in game.
13. Is there any single player mode in DOA?
You can play in the training mode maps. With training map you can earn CP for the rewards. We may bring in more single player maps in the future.
14. What is Ping?
Ping means "Packet Internet Groper". Ping is a utility used to determine whether a particular computer is currently connected to the Internet. It works by sending a packet to the specified IP address and waiting for a reply. If the ping is high in DOA it could mean that the internet connection is not good. If the ping level is too high to play the game, please contact your ISP.
15. The game doesn’t work… why?
Please check the following:
Does my computer meet the minimum system requirement?
Is version higher than the Direct X9.0 installed?
Is the most recent version of graphic driver installed?
Is my Internet network working?
Is DOA undergoing a routine server maintenance? (* Refer to the announcement.)

If the game still does not work, please contact the customer service center at the “HelpDesk” on the DOA website.
16. What is the difference between DOA and other FPS games?
Some of the characteristics of DOA are:

    17. What is Job?
    Job is decided according to a formula. (Kills+dies)/dies. Hence, the more you kill and the less you die, the higher your job. Please refer to the DOA website under “Game Info” for further details.
    18. What is E-Store and how does it work?
    The E-Store is where players with Cube Value in their accounts can purchase items to use while playing Dispatch of Army. These items include weapons as well as armor and other accessories.
    19. Where can I find E-Store?
    Please visit official DOA website at http://doa.cube-asia.com/default.asp. You may then use the navigation bar on the left hand side of the website. If you are not logged in, a new window will appear with the login screen. Login will take you to the E-store section of the website in the same window.
    20. How to use E-Store?
    In order to use our DOA E-store system, you must have a registered DOA account to enable view/purchase list of the items from E-store. If you don’t have account, please go to http://doa.cube-tech.asia.com register for an account.

    To purchase item from E-store, your account must be topped up with Cube Value.
    21. I can’t purchase any items from e-store. Why?
    Before purchase any items from E-Store, first you need to make sure your Cube Value topped up.
    22. What is Cube Value?
    Cube Value (CV) is an innovative online micro payment system provided by Cube Tech, Asia. It enables its customers to shop at certain selected cyber cafes with cash easily for purchasing item at DOA e-store.
    23. Where can I get Cube Value?
    You may purchase Cube Value from our Cube Authorized Resellers as well as other third party point sellers such as Whoyo.
    24. What can Cube value do?
    Cube Value is our E-Store currency which allows players to purchase better in game items and weapons that will give you an advantage over other players.
    25. How do I top up my account with Cube value?
    You will receive a receipt with Serial number and password when you purchase a coupon from our Cube Authorized Reseller. Log into the DOA website at doa.cube-asia.com and then go to the top up account option under your account profile. Enter the serial number and password and then click the button. Double check your Cube Value from your account profile. Please note that it may take a while for the number to refresh.
    26. What must I do if I’m unable to top up my account with Cube Value?
    Customer may fill a report at DOA help desk and DOA support email at support@cube-asia.com immediately along with the screenshots or proof. Customer will be receiving a mail within 24 hours and investigation will be taking for the matter further.
    27. What is my cart?
    My cart is a virtual trolley where players can place E-Store items into.
    28. What is empty cart?
    Empty cart will help you to clear out everything inside My Cart.
    29. How many items can I purchase at a time?
    You may purchase many items at once. However, you can only have up to 200 smoke grenades and the magazine type tickets will override each other.
    30. Is there any way I can view how much cube value is left in my account?
    You can check the balance of cube value at My Profile into the official DOA website.
    31. What if a valid system error occurs while topping up customer account?
